ABV Beverage
Sales Manager
The Beverage Sales Manager will lead sales efforts for ABV Beverage products (non-, low-, and full-alcohol alternative beverages) in Minnesota - helping to expand retail partners, grow revenue, manage the marketplace, build our sales team, and work cross-functionally within the team to ensure on-time delivery of products. This role is equal parts strategy and execution, requiring an ability to build sales programs at a high level, while also building relationships, closing sales, monitoring performance, and collaborating within the team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales plan to drive revenue across product lines
Identify and pursue new account opportunities at retailer and distributor levels
Manage existing accounts, ensuring retention, satisfaction, and upselling opportunities
Build and maintain a sales pipeline, developing forecasts, and tracking performance
Deliver product to retail accounts
Execute in-market events like tastings, trade shows, and festivals
Coordinate with marketing team for design needs that support promotional strategies
Collaborate with production team to relay customer feedback, help with product development, and fundamentally understand ABV products
Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on sales metrics, market trends, and the competitive landscape as a whole
Potential to manage a team of sales reps, brand ambassadors, and delivery drivers
Travel as needed for customer meetings, tastings, and festivals
Support with other sales, marketing, or production tasks as needed
Qualifications:
3-6+ years of sales experience in the beverage industry
Strong network and experience working with distributors and retailers
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
3-6+ years of sales experience in non-alcoholic, craft beer, craft wine, craft spirits, or functional beverage categories a plus
Deep understanding of non-, low-, and full-alcohol beverage market trends and regulatory considerations, a plus
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strategic thinking, ability to develop sales plans, forecast, and analyze metrics
Self-starter with an ability to work hands on in a fast-growing environment
Willingness to travel as needed
Access to personal vehicle to perform sales responsibilities
Access to mobile device to perform sales responsibilities
Deep understanding of Google Suite products including Gmail, Sheets, and Forms
Basic understanding of ERP or other project management software like Wrike, a plus
Communicates effectively in person, over the phone, in email and in presentations
Observes distributor, consumer, or supplier behavior
Enters and locates information on computer
Creates documents, reports, and event recaps for tracking progress and success
Ability to lift and carry weight in excess of 40 lbs
Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to pick up and transport POS, event equipment, and product
Position Type:
This is a full-time salary position, exempt from overtime
Expectations for the position are for 40+ hours per week
Daily and weekly hours are flexible, with regular opportunities to work remotely
Compensation:
$60K base salary plus commission plus bonus
